ATMOSPHERE

Shane’s definitely has a rustic feel, as if you were sitting in a farmhouse.  There are plenty of booths and table sides inside, plus a few tables outside.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

My husband and son ordered the Shack Sampler ($12.99), which includes a quarter rack of baby back ribs, two tenders, and a quarter pound of barbecue pork or chicken.  Both said the ribs are fantastic but could have used a little more sauce.  The pork had a nice smoky flavor.  My other son devoured his half rack of baby back ribs ($11.99).  He said the meat fell right off the bone.  The shack salad ($7.99) and the chopped barbecue chicken sandwich ($6.99) were both very good.  My daughter and I would have preferred the chicken warmer though. 

REASONS TO GO

The food was very tasty, the prices weren’t bad, and the wait time was minimal.

SERVICE

We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door.  You order the food at the counter, and it’s delivered to your table.  Everyone was very pleasant. 

NOISE LEVEL

The restaurant was very crowded the night we were there, and the noise level was moderate.  We didn’t need to shout out at each other to carry on a conversation at our table.

KID FRIENDLY

Definitely!  The kid’s menu offers chicken tenders, grilled cheese, mac and cheese, ribs and wings.  Each meal ($4.39- $5.99) is served with fries or side salad and a drink.
