EVANS, Ga.- Shane’s Rib Shack in Evans, GA will celebrate the 8th Annual Get Messy For A Cure on Thursday, Oct. 1.
Shane’s Rib Shack will donate 20% of all sales from 11 a.m to 9 p.m. on October 1st to University Hospital’s Breast Health Center in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The owner of Shane’s Rib Shack, Kellie Johnson, says her family’s battle with Breast Cancer inspired this event.
“Both of my Grandmother’s had breast cancer,” Kellie said. “My mom’s mom (my Mema) is a breast cancer survivor. I know too many people that have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and I want us at Shane’s to do all we can help to make sure men and women are able to get checked and fight this horrible disease. I love the fact that all the money raised for the Miracle Mile Walk and University Breast Health Center stays in the CSRA and we are able to help our neighbors.”
To encourage participation, Shane’s Rib Shack will giveaway prizes throughout the day including two Guitar Pull tickets and a Catering for 10 from Shane’s Rib Shack.
University Hospital’s Mobile Mammography will also be available at the event.
